DMU 100 P duoBLOCK

Following the success of the CTX beta 800 TC the new CTX beta 1250 TC now expands the 2nd generation series of the Turn & Mill machining centres. The CTX beta 1250 TC is designed for universal use in the complete machining of workpieces with a diameter of up to 500 mm and a 1,210 mm turning length. Even in the standard version the up to  65 % increase in feed speeds (max. 50 m/min) and direct measuring systems from MAGNESCALE ensure more dynamics and accuracy. In addition the automatic tool changer with up to 80 tools offers the customer maximum flexibility where classic turning operations are concerned.

A core element of the new CTX beta 1250 TC is the DirectDrive B-axis with its stepless swivel range of ±120° and which is equipped with the new compactMASTER turn-mill spindle. The compact design of the spindle enables a torque of 120 Nm with a length of just 350 mm. Compared to conventional spindles this adds up to a gain in working area space of 170 mm with a simultaneous 20 percent higher torque. And what is more, it enables considerable savings in tool costs, because standard tools can be used for slanted surfaces and boreholes.

Highlights of the CTX beta 1250 TC

  • compactMASTER: ultra-compact turn-mill spindle for minimum space requirement in the work area and a 20 % higher torque, HSK-A63 (Capto* C6), 12,000 rpm, 22 kW and 120 Nm, high-speed version with 20,000* rpm
  • 170 mm space gain thanks to the new B-axis: horizontal drilling or turning of 360 mm long workpieces, tools up to a max. length of 400 mm
  • More dynamics thanks to 65 % higher feed speed, max. 50 m/min
    (X / Y / Z = 40 / 40 / 50 m/min)
  • 1 g acceleration and 60 m/min feed thanks to linear drive* in the Z-axis with long-term accuracy and a 5-year warranty granted for the linear drive.

4th generation DMU 100 P and DMC 125 FD duoBLOCK – 5-axis machining for highest demands on precision, performance and efficiency

DMU 100 P duoBLOCK®

After the epoch-making success of the 4th generation duoBLOCK machines presented recently, there will be not one but two new versions of the series being demonstrated live in operation at the Open House in Pfronten. The DMU 100 P duoBLOCK is characterised by outstanding milling performance and is convincing both in high-performance heavy-duty machining as well as in the accurate all-round sector. The high level of rigidity of the construction ensures up to 30 percent improved accuracy values that are further promoted by intelligent temperature management among other things.

The new pallet version of the DMC 125 FD duoBLOCK also benefits from the optimised overall rigidity. This innovation is equipped with an automatic pallet changer that enables set-up parallel to production time. This reduces idle times resulting in sustainable optimisation of the production process. In addition the DMC 125 FD duoBLOCK offers a fast rotary table for complete milling-turning machining of complex geometries with diameters of up to 1,250 mm and heights of 1,600 mm. Another important point that needs mentioning, as of the Open House at Pfronten, the best-performer DMC 125 U duoBLOCK will also be available in the milling sector in addition to the already mentioned FD version, thus adding another chapter to the success story of this construction.

A fundamental benefit of the duoBLOCK principle are the extensive building blocks for customised complete solutions in a wide range of applications. The range of spindles, for example, encompasses versions ideally suited for heavy-duty machining – these include the powerMASTER 1000 with its 1,000 Nm torque and 9,000 rpm or the gearbox spindle with 1,300 Nm and 8,000 rpm that will be available as of quarter 04/2015.
