02/11/2020|Open House Pfronten 2020 - Intro

Stable Foundations and High Speed

DMG MORI will be presenting itself as a driver of innovation in the field of digitization and automation at the traditional Open House from 11th to 15th February 2020. The focus will be on end-to-end connectivity as the standard for all machines, the update of all existing CELOS versions, the new customer portal my DMG MORI and TULIP as a simple means to digitization. On an area of over 7,500 m² DMG MORI will once again be presenting groundbreaking production concepts in machining and ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING. The majority of the exhibits demonstrate the automation competence, which the machine tool manufacturer offers with holistic solutions from a single source. This is also reflected in the four Pfronten world premieres: The DMC 65 H monoBLOCK and DMU 65 H monoBLOCK, a revolutionary universal horizontal machining center, the modular PH CELL pallet system and the LASERTEC 400 Shape for laser texturing as well as the LASERTEC 30 DUAL SLM for additive manufacturing.

As the “Global One Company” DMG MORI together with its customers, partners and suppliers has achieved a great deal in recent years. Thanks to strategic discipline, targeted innovations and the development of more efficient structures the company now more than ever stands at the forefront of international machine tool construction.

DMG MORI has a unique footprint! The machine tool manufacturer is active in 42 branches and has more than 100,000 customers worldwide! With its 154 locations the company is close to its users all over the world. The portfolio includes 154 different machine models in 45 product lines as well as currently 52 automation solutions for workpiece and pallet handling.

DMG MORI sees in these facts impressive proof of a sound basis and strong defensive forces in all respects. This is the reason for DMG MORI’s continued optimism. Above all DMG MORI remains true to its strategy of quality, innovation and profit orientation. Despite the current economic situation, the world leader intends to continue its dynamic development and keep up the speed of its innovations.

A special point of interest here is the move away from its classic role as a product and service provider towards that of an excellence and solution partner for pioneering technology, automation and digitization solutions. This new understanding of its role helps it meet the needs of this changing customer perspective in good time, as Christian Thönes, Chairman of the Executive Board at the DMG MORI AKTIENGESELLSCHAFT, emphasizes. Where machines were previously seen individually, for example, they are now increasingly being regarded as an elementary part of digital value creation systems and their functionality therefore evaluated holistically.
