Flexible pallet handling up to 2,000 kg transfer weight

Compact automation solution for machining centers of the DMU/C H monoBLOCK and DMU/DMC duoBLOCK series: With its modular design, the new PH Cell 2000 offers space for up to 21 pallets on just 16.5 m².

Like the successful PH Cell 300, the new PH Cell 2000 offers unique flexibility in pallet handling. Designed for machining centers of the DMU/DMC H monoBLOCK and DMU/DMC duoBLOCK series. For the models with integrated automation interface, it is a compact and retrofittable automation solution. With space for up to 21 pallets that can be set up in parallel during production, the PH Cell 2000 increases the productivity of any manufacturing operation.

The modular design of the PH Cell 2000 includes a setup station, a handling unit with double gripper – pallet changeover takes less than 45 seconds – and the individually expandable rack storage system. Depending on the version, this consists of two to four levels, so that it manages a total of between twelve and 25 pallets in the system on an area of just 16.5 m². Here, the new PALLET MASTER software ensures that orders are organized clearly and efficiently. Pallet sizes from 500 x 500 mm to 800 x 800 mm can be integrated in the PH Cell 2000, allowing workpiece diameters of up to ø 1,100 mm. The transfer weight is already 1,500 kg in system size S, and the two larger versions reach 2,000 kg – more than enough for entire cast steel machine plates.

PH Cell 2000 for a wide range of machines

The large number of pallets measured against the compact footprint is just as much an argument for the PH Cell 2000 as its retrofittability. Since DMG MORI has explicitly developed the automation solutions for machining centers without pallet changers, users can modernize existing machinery in a future-oriented manner. For new acquisitions, on the other hand, they benefit from lower acquisition costs compared to a machining center with a pallet changer. In system sizes S and M, the PH Cell 2000 can be combined with the DMU/DMC 85 H monoBLOCK as well as the DMU/DMC 80 duoBLOCK and DMU/DMC 90 duoBLOCK. The system size S can also be connected to the DMU/DMC 65 H monoBLOCK. For the DMU/ 100 duoBLOCK and DMU/DMC 125 duoBLOCK, the system size L is a suitable solution. In all cases, the milling/turning variants of the DMU models can also be automated.
