Exhibition of ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES

Additive manufacturing and ultrasonic machining – DMG MORI is presenting its innovative LASERTEC and ULTRASONIC portfolio at the FORMNEXT.

At this year's FORMNEXT in Frankfurt from 14 to 17 November, DMG MORI is presenting a representative cross-section from the range of ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES with four LASERTEC machines for additive manufacturing and one ULTRASONIC 20 linear for 5-axis machining of complex workpieces, amongst others from glass, ceramics or composites.

The fact that DMG MORI is investing a lot of energy and innovative power into ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING is emphasised at the FORMNEXT with four LASERTEC models, including one LASERTEC 65 3D hybrid, one LASERTEC 65 3D and two LASERTEC 30 SLM. For four years now, laser deposition welding with a powder nozzle and 5-axis simultaneous machining in a single setup have been combined by the proven LASERTEC 65 3D hybrid series. Since the last EMO, the LASERTEC 65 3D has expanded the portfolio as machine for pure laser deposition welding. This makes it an ideal complement to an already existing machine park.

The LASERTEC 30 SLM, a powder bed machine, completes the DMG MORI range in additive manufacturing. The flexible powder module, which enables powder changes in less than two hours, represents a future-oriented new development, which was already distinguished by the MM Award.

The ULTRASONIC 20 linear  rounds off the exhibition in the field of ultrasonic machining. Thanks to the new, completely digitally controlled ultrasonic generator and the ULTRASONIC actuators with higher performance and rotational speeds of up to 50,000 rpm, the machine is optimally designed for the machining of advanced materials. Glass, ceramics, corundum as well as composites and carbide can be machined precisely and with process reliability on the machine.
