Reliable technology and future-proof equipment – ANFOTEC expands its production capacity with second-hand machines from DMG MORI Used Machines

ANFOTEC Antriebstechnologie GmbH was founded in Medebach in the year 2000.

Founded in the year 2000, ANFOTEC Antriebstechnologie GmbH has become established as a production partner and system supplier in machine tool construction in the fields of measurement technology and semi-conductor processing thanks to its comprehensive range of products and its high quality orientation. With its 60 employees the company from Medebach develops, manufactures and assembles the required pre-assembled unfinished machines including the drive equipment. ANFOTEC meets its customers' high demands on quality using CNC machine tools from DMG MORI. Products from DMG MORI Used Machines rank high in importance in the machine park, where the company has supplied four of the nine models installed.

ANFOTEC has repeatedly invested in second-hand models from DMG MORI since 2011, as was the case with the DMF 260|11.

“Our customers quite clearly demand zero-defect quality in production and this is therefore the standard we adhere to as well,” says Christian Hast, founder and one of the Manging Directors of ANFOTEC, about the orientation of the company. The range of products encompasses high-precision, extremely dynamic machines and modules. “Our work starts early on in the development phase, where we collaborate closely with our customers.” Providing individual customer care is as important a factor for success in this business as punctual delivery and adherence to deadlines, explains Christian Hast: “This is the basis for us to enable smooth and efficient production workflows for our customers.”

As a production partner and system supplier for the machine tool manufacturing sector, ANFOTEC develops, manufactures and assembles the required pre-assembled unfinished machines including the drive equipment.

Maximum flexibility and a high level of vertical integration are another two typical characteristics of ANFOTEC. In this respect Christian Hast sees both well trained employees and high-performance manufacturing as key mainstays. A close partnership with DMG MORI has existed since the very foundation of the company. Today the machine tool manufacturer is a customer as well as a supplier of ANFOTEC. The present machine park includes a lathe plus eight machining centres, including monoBLOCK, duoBLOCK and travelling column models.

Its many years of experience with DMG MORI products and their reliability has led to ANFOTEC repeatedly investing in second-hand models from DMG MORI Used Machines since 2011. “As we are well aware of the long lifespan of the machines, used models also constitute an attractive option for expanding production capacity,” is how Christian Hast explains this policy. He also trusts completely in the quality of the machines that are sometimes up to 10 years old: “We are talking about tested or overhauled models where DMG MORI offers above-average security.”

From a technological point of view, Christian Hast is equally convinced by the used machines: “New machining centres from DMG MORI are always equipped to be future-proof. So, of course, used machines benefit from this fact as well.” The performance of these machines is still at a level that meets the high demands ANFOTEC places on quality. As the company has been ISO DIN EN 9001 certified since 2004, the Managing Director sees modern machine tool technology as a decisive purchase criterion.

Christian Hast also sees a great advantage in the fast delivery of the used machines: “DMG MORI Used Machines has such an extensive range of models that it can normally offer the right solution from stock, so - unlike new machines – these are up and running in the shortest possible time.” This will enable ANFOTEC to respond flexibly in future as well and to adapt its production to the order situation.
