Wernau acts as a link between Japan and Germany
Wernau (Neckar) is a town in the district of Esslingen in Baden-Württemberg and belongs to the Stuttgart region, which is characterized by the automotive industry. The proximity to the terraced vineyards of the Esslinger Neckarhalde with their steep slopes also characterize the townscape. The city of Wernau is currently home of approx. 12,500 residents. Located directly on the Neckar and on the edge of the “Wernauer Baggerseen” nature reserve, Wernau shines with beautiful residential areas, with lots of green in the city for sports and relaxation right on the doorstep. The city is located in the Neckar valley on the border to the Stuttgart metropolitan area with all its advantages in terms of work, education and also culture and leisure time. Wernau enjoys the geographical advantage of being directly connected to the arteries in the Stuttgart region via the B 313 and B 30 federal roads and the A8 motorway as well as the S 1 S-Bahn line. Short distances to the Stuttgart Exhibition Center and the airport make the city particularly interesting.
